Sacrificing the moon is a very ancient custom in our country. It is actually a worship activity of the ancients to the "moon god". In ancient times, there was a custom of "autumn evening and evening moon". Under the moon, people place the "Lunar God" tablet in the direction of the moon, and the red candle is burning high, and the whole family pays homage to the moon in turn, praying for blessings. Sacrificing the moon and admiring the moon, and contemplating the moon, expressed people's best wishes.

2. Eat moon cakes

Moon cakes, also called moon cakes, harvest cakes, palace cakes, reunion cakes, etc., are the offerings for worshipping the moon god during the Mid-Autumn Festival in ancient times. Moon cakes were originally used as offerings to worship the moon god. Later, people gradually took the Mid-Autumn Festival to admire the moon and taste moon cakes as a major symbol of family reunion.

Modern Mid-Autumn Festival lighting is more popular. The lamp hanging in the home of wealth is several feet high. The family gathers under the lamp to drink and have fun, while ordinary people erect a flagpole and two lanterns, and also enjoy themselves. The city is full of lights and the world of colored glaze.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Chinese will give each other moon cakes to give blessings. There are six major factions of the moon cakes: Guangjin, Jingchao, Sudian.
